KUCHING: As the festive season unfolds, Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Datuk Snowdan Lawan advised Sarawakians to drive home safely.

He pleads for cautious driving and consideration for loved ones who are eagerly anticipating their arrival.

While reflecting on the passing year, Snowdan extended warm blessings to everyone, hoping that 2023 will be a year of prosperity and well-being.

In light of economic challenges, he also advised prudent spending, prioritising necessities to navigate through the prevailing high costs effectively.

“Be patient while on the road and spend wisely. Make priority when it comes to spending, mitigating the current high costs,” he said in his Christmas message.

On the same note, Snowdan emphasised the significance of preserving Sarawak’s unique cultural identity during celebrations.

Despite diverse backgrounds and beliefs, he called for tolerance, understanding, and mutual respect among all Sarawakians.

“Remember that Christmas is “Thanksgiving Time,” and be blessed abundantly,” he said.
