KUCHING: The resounding takbir (vocal expression of proclaiming and magnifying the greatness of Allah in Islam) of Hari Raya Aidilfitri by CENTEXS Commercial, in collaboration with three local media agencies, will echo starting from the first day of Syawal.
Managing director Shahren Yusri mentioned that they conducted a recording on Tuesday (Feb 27), together with Suara Sarawak, New Sarawak Tribune and Cats Radio.
“This programme is crucial to maintaining brotherhood among Muslims in this state, especially among media colleagues and CENTEXS Commercial staff,” he said.
He made these remarks after the recording of the takbir, led by Sarawak Grand Imam Datuk Mustapha Kamal Ahmad Fauzi at the Juma’ani Pavilion here.
According to Shahren, this marks the first time CENTEXS Commercial has organised a takbir recording alongside media partners.
“Alhamdulillah, the recording went smoothly. Insha-Allah, we will listen to this Raya takbir on Cats FM and our social media platforms on Facebook, including CENTEXS Commercial, Suara Sarawak, and New Sarawak Tribune.”
Shahren added that the takbir will also be broadcast on the first day of Hari Raya and will be played repeatedly.
“So, don’t forget to tune in to Cats FM and follow our social media as well as those of our media partners.
“Before the recording started, we also conducted various programme elements, including congregational Maghrib and Isyak prayers, along with Yasin recitations.
“We also listened to a sermon delivered by Grand Imam Datuk Mustapha titled ‘trust and responsibility as workers in the month of Ramadan’.”
The takbir recording was held around 8.30pm and was attended by chief executive officer of Suara Sarawak and New Sarawak Tribune, Datuk Dr Jeniri Amir; Cats FM representative DJ Fir Affandi, and many others.
