KUCHING: There has been a change in the vaccination date for those scheduled to receive the second Covid-19 dose at the Lubok Antu Sports Complex here on Oct 24.

They will now receive their jabs at the same venue on Oct 31.

The Lubok Antu District Health Office, which posted a notice in its Facebook page yesterday (Oct 18), said that the change in date was to give way for the District Office to make arrangements at the complex hall for the Election Commission (EC) to carry out its meeting.

“Please be informed that the date of receiving the vaccine has been postponed to Oct 31.

“Please be present on Oct 31 at the Lubok Antu Sports Complex vaccination centre (PPV),” it said.

Recently, a circular was issued by the Kabong District Office calling election workers to attend a briefing sometime this month.

Following this, EC Corporate and Communication Unit officer Azlan Charles told a local daily that the training programmes for election workers had been conducted throughout the country since the last election through its Election Academy.

He added that as the term of the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) term had expired and although the state election had not been determined yet, the training was to ensure all election workers would be ready for the state election.
