MIRI: A team of three Civil Defence Force (APM) Miri personnel has been called to rescue a python curling underneath a plastic road barrier, adjacent to an apartment in Piasau today.

According to Miri APM report, the reptile was spotted by a 39-year-old man who happened to pass by the area that morning.

Shocked with the discovery, he immediately called up APM for help at around 11.43 am.

The team arrived at the scene within minutes and subsequently rescued the one-metre long snake.

They later released the reptile back to its natural habitat.

The reptile is found curling underneath the plastic road barrier.
