ASAJAYA: A coconut fibre factory in Kampung Semera Sadong Hilir was damaged in a fire on Today (Nov 21).
A spokesman from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from the Asajaya and Kota Samarahan stations were deployed to the scene after receiving an emergency call around 8pm.
The factory suffered 30 per cent damage to its structure, particularly the roof.
Extinguishing works were promptly carried out, with firefighters also drawing water from an open water source nearby.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
