Community College directors call on state director of Education

KUCHING: The directors of Community Colleges in Sarawak on Monday (Apr 12) paid a courtesy visit on the Sarawak Director of Education at the Department of Education here.  

The courtesy visit was led by the director of Mas Gading Community College, Nor Dalila Abdul Rahman.

The visitors were welcomed by Sarawak Education director, Dr Norisah Suhaili and the management of the State Education Department.  

The purposes of the visit were to discuss strategic cooperation between the colleges and the Education Department and exchange views on appropriate ways and methods to cultivate students’ interest, especially among those who had completed Form 5.

Earlier, Nor Dalila gave a briefing on the full-time courses and the Lifelong Programmes (PSH) offered by each Community College in the state.

Present during the visit were director of Community College Kuching Surhayati Sulaiman, director of Santubong Community College Abdullah Latep Mustapha, director of Miri Community College Hazatta Morshidi, director of Betong Community College, Andrew Douglas Gudam, director of Sarikei Community College and Sibu Branch Zakir Hussain Ibrahim, Mas Gading Community College deputy managing director Mohd Saiful Maidin, Mas Gading Community Community College Student recruitment officer Adi Amin Sarkawi Sarie and Information officer, Corporate Communications Unit and Public Relations Mas Gading Community College Petrus Ngalih Tingi.
