KUCHING: Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB) chief, Wilfred Yap was recently approached by the business community of Kota Sentosa Commercial area during his regular round of visit (turun padang) activity to the area.

Those trading in the old 7th Mile Bazaar and hawkers trading in the market had asked for his assistance to request the Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) to carry out improvement and repair works for a stretch of road approximately 100 metres in length of Jalan Liew Shan Phan in front of the T-Junction of SJKC Sam Hap Hin. They requested the road to be properly tar sealed due to its dilapidated condition which causes it to be water logged at certain section after it rains. According to the traders and hawkers, their request is made because of the heavy traffic using this stretch of the road.

They further requested the SPCB chief to voice out their dissatisfaction to MPP on the unsatisfactory quality of the workmanship as extensive improvement works on Jalan Liew Shan Phan was only carried out and completed last year.
