Consumers’ Day receives overwhelming response

KUCHING: Consumers’ Day hosted by Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) has received an overwhelming response from the public.

Its three-day programme, which started on Friday and ends today, is for the community as an appreciation for the support that they have given.

Besides that, the Consumers’ Day event aims to further create awareness regarding the services provided by DBKU.

The purpose of the event is also to showcase the initiatives provided  by DBKU to the public.

According to a statement issued yesterday, several  programmes planned out by DBKU at the Consumers’ Day included the 3R Buy Back Campaign, food stalls and items provided to the public which are managed by the DBKU Allamanda Club .

There were more than ten booths for the visitors to enjoy and visit the services provided by DBKU.

Present at the Consumers’ Day were Deputy Minister of Utilities and Telecommunication Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, who also officiated at the event, DBKU mayor Datuk Junaidi Reduan and DBKU director Mohamed Khaidir Abang.
