KUCHING: A lively spectacle unfolded this morning (Sept 9) as some 555 participants, some donning vibrant costumes portraying characters like Snow White, Red Riding Hood, Harry Potter, Maleficent and Super Mario, gathered for the Lodge Platinum Jubilee Jogathon.

The jogathon held in celebration of the Lodge’s Group of Schools’ 70th Jubilee Anniversary Celebration saw participants which included the school students, parents and alumni, all of whom took part in the two fun run categories namely, the 3km and 5km fun runs.

The jogathon’s scenic route began and ended at Lodge National Secondary School, winding through the Tabuan Jaya housing estate with runners covering distances ranging from 3km to 5km.

Beyond the fun and fitness, the jogathon also aimed to raise funds to support Lodge sports and co-curricular activities, while also providing an opportunity for the school community to give back.

Adding to the event’s significance, 36 dedicated “icon runners” consisting of teachers, students, and alumni embarked on an active donation drive from June to September 9.
