KUCHING: A proposal will be put forward to develop Kampung Trombol in Telaga Air area, said Lo Khere Chian.

The Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) chairman pointed out that there is no proper road to Trombol’s golden beach except through some private land.

“Kampung Trombol has a lot of private land which visitors need to go through to reach the beach.

“As it is under MPP jurisdiction, we should think about coming up with a proposal to develop the area,” he said.

He said this during a press conference after his visit to Mile 6 area, Jalan Penrissen recently.

Lo revealed that he had been in touch with Pantai Damai assemblyman Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi regarding the matter.

“One of these days, we will visit the area and then come up with a proposal to provide access to the area. I hope that everyone will give us some time to do that,” he said.

Kampung Trombol, which is popular for its golden beach, is a half hour’s drive from the city centre.
