KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Paralympic Council (MPC) called on corporate bodies, sponsors and individuals to make contribution to help national para athletes who are affected by the implementation of the movement control order (MCO) to curb the spread of Covid-19 outbreak.
MPC general manager G. Mohan said the donations would help and support the athletes in achieving their dreams on the international stage.
“We would also like to invite everyone to assist the athletes by donating to the ‘Kempen Sokongan Atlet Para Covid-19’ fund launched on April 7,” he said in a statement yesterday.
Mohan said all donations could be channelled to the CIMB account number 8009473788 under the name “Majlis Paralimpik Malaysia”. Enquiries can be directed to Jennifer at 012-2921340.
Yesterday, 20 para athletes received aid in the form of basic necessities from MPM, he said. – Bernama
