BINTULU: The Sarawak Dayak Educators Association (SDEA) plays an important role in shouldering the responsibility of producing human capital, said Datuk Majang Renggi.

The Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development, said it is therefore incumbent of them to be always in line with the teaching profession.

“The establishment of SDEA is very important not only in terms of educational development or welfare.

“But also as a bridge connecting with government agencies, private parties, statutory bodies and other organisations,” he said at the opening of the SDEA Third Annual General Meeting today (Sept 17).

However, Majang emphasised that the task is not as easy as it seemed because it requires high commitment and integrity.

“Therefore, cooperation among members of the association must be strengthened in carrying out these responsibilities to meet the demands of customers and stakeholders who require quality human capital,” he stressed.

Majang also said that Bintulu has now entered the second wave of development in line with the Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy Plan 2030.

He pointed out that many large and medium-scale projects are ongoing and also under planning to be established in Bintulu.

“The rapid development taking place in Bintulu will create many job opportunities in various fields for Sarawak children.

“I have high hopes especially for SDEA to continue working together to enhance children’s abilities to ensure their excellence in academics.
“I believe this will allow us all to work and develop together,” he said.
