PUTRAJAYA: Four new Covid-19 related fatalities were recorded as at noon today, bringing the death toll in Malaysia to 23, a New Straits Time report said.

PUTRAJAYA: A total of 235 new positive COVID-19 cases were recorded in the country as at noon today, the highest daily increase to date, bringing the total to 2,031, with the death toll due to the disease stood at 23.

Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said based on initial investigations, 60 of the new positive cases were linked to the Sri Petaling tabligh gathering cluster.

“The remaining 175 cases were still being investigated and are probably linked to other clusters,” he said at the daily press conference on COVID-19 here today. – Bernama
