SRI AMAN: Two disabled persons from two longhouses here have received wheelchairs from Sri Aman Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) coordinator Norina Umoi Utot.
The recipients, part of the Pencil Project initiative, were Jaul from Rumah Radin, Lachau Ulu and Mita from Joel’s House, Ai Sri Aman’s Bijat.
Norina, who is also the Pencil Project Association patron, said it was a mission of organisations such as the Pencil Project Association to help those in need.
“I also hope that the wheelchairs will help both to move comfortably either at home or outdoors,” she said yesterday.
The recipients expressed their thanks to Norina, saying: “We really appreciate this gesture, and again, we would like to thank Norina. We really need the wheelchairs.”
