Dog bite lands MPP chairman’s son in hospital

KUCHING: The son of Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) Chairman, Lo Khere Chiang was suddenly bitten on the right ankle by a stray dog at Lorong Durian Burung here last Monday night.

The incident happened around 8.00pm when Ethan Lo was about to get into his car after visiting a friend.

Lo who was at his office at the time of the incident rushed to the Sarawak General Hospital after he was informed that his son had been bitten by a stray dog.

The Batu Kitang assemblyman when met at the hospital said his son’s wounds had been cleaned and vaccinated against rabies by medical staff.

He also advised the public to be alert of their surroundings and be extra careful with stray dogs.
