PROGRESSIVE metal kings, Dream Theater, will be back in Malaysia for a concert at Zepp KL, scheduled for May 10. Organiser Shiraz Projects will also be presenting the iconic American band in concert at The Star Theatre in Singapore on May 9.

Dream Theater, originally from Boston, USA, will be in the region as part of the Asian leg of its “Top Of The World” tour. Originally formed in 1985 under the name Majesty, Dream Theater has undergone various lineup changes over the years, but Petrucci and Myung have been the only two constant members.

The current lineup consists of vocalist James La Brie, guitarist John Petrucci, bassist John Myung, keyboardist Jordan Rudess and drummer Mike Mangini.

The group last performed in Malaysia in 2017. The band released its 15th studio album, “A View From The Top Of The World”, in 2021 and won a Best Metal Performance Grammy for its single, “The Alien”, a year later.
