BINTULU: A driver and his passenger sustained injuries following a two-vehicle collision at Lorong Permata 6, Sungai Plan this morning (Dec 3).
The accident involving a Perodua Axia and a Mitsubishi Triton, happened around 12.25am near Al-Muttaqin Mosque.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Kidurong station were promptly dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress call.
On arrival, the team found that two victims were still in the Axia and assisted them out of the vehicle.
Both of them aged 39 and 44, were later handed over to the paramedics for further treatment.
The extent of their injuries was not known.
Meanwhile, the Mitsubishi driver escaped unscathed in the accident.
After ensuring that the situation was safe, the team concluded the operation at 1.42am.
