LUNDU: A driver cheated death after his car skidded and fell into a ravine along Jalan Bukit Kampung Siluk yesterday (June 20).
The accident happened around 11.50 am when his Toyota Innova’s rear right tyre burst while he was driving alone.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Lundu station were promptly deployed to the scene after they were alert to the accident.
He said the driver managed to get out on his own, adding that the man only sustained light injuries to his right hand.
Members from the Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) unit provided the victim initial treatment at the scene before taking him to the hospital for further treatment.
