KUCHING: Drugs can now be bought online before they are sold in entertainment premises around this city.
This confession was made by a 22-year-old drug trafficking suspect after he was nabbed by the police during ‘Ops Integrated’ held yesterday.
According to Padawan district police chief Supt Aidil Bolhasaan when the suspect was checked at 5.45am at Penrissen Road, police found various types of drugs in his sling bag.
“We found 12 packets of drugs of various types including ecstasy pills.
“The suspect claims that the drugs belong to him and to be sold at entertainment premises around Kuching city,” he said in a statement yesterday.
Aidil added that the suspect began to get involved in drug abuse activities in the past six months and has a record of offences under Section 15 (1) (a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1952.
“The suspect is being investigated under Section 39B, 39A (1), 12 (2) & 15 (1) (a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1952,” he said.
