MIRI: Two men suspected of abusing drugs were arrested by police during a raid on a house at Bandar Baru Permyjaya here yesterday morning.
District Deputy Police chief, Supt Stanley Jonathan said acting on information received, a police team from Miri Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) raided the house at around 10.20am and detained the suspects, aged 24 and 28 years old.
“As a result of the raid, the police seized three straw tubes filled with crystalline substance, believed to be syabu, weighing about 0.11grammes.
“Both suspects were tested positive for amphetamine,” he said here.
Stanley said both men were detained for further investigation and the case was being investigated under Section 12(2) and 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1952.
