E-waste collection on Dec 17-18

Vun Huey Ni (senior assistant) and students welcome the public to donate their e-waste to the school on Dec 17 and 18.

KUCHING: Malaysian Red Crescent of SJK Chung Hua No 5, Kuching is organising its 4th e-WASTE activity to collect old and obsolete electronic scraps such as computers, printers and computer-related products, cell phones, cables and wires, li-ion batteries, kitchen electronic appliances, television from the general public.

This programme will be held on Saturday and Sunday, December 17 and 18 from 8 am until 5 pm at the school premises.

The objective of this activity is to provide a better environment to safely dispose of their electronic waste.

Besides, members of the public could also donate used clothing. Proceeds from the sales of e-waste collection and used clothing will be donated to charity.
