BINTANGOR: Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) will provide a bill paying machine in the near future to provide more ease for residents here to pay their electricity bills.

According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) in a news report on Saturday (Jan 15), this move is following the closure of the SEB’s customer service counter here since Jan 1, 2022.

On Friday (Jan 14), Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing had a discussion with SEB following the concerns of Bintangor residents, especially senior citizens on the closure of the customer service counter.

He therefore hoped that SEB could provide a customer service officer to be stationed at the bill paying machine.

“This is to provide guidance to the public on the method of paying bills using the machine later on,” he said.

On a separate occasion, Ding also contributed RM1,000 to the SMK Bandar Bintangor Special Education Club.

The purpose of the fund is to support the sale of biscuits and handicrafts in conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration.

Ding hands over the cheque to the school’s club representative.
