KUCHING: To ease the burden of Kampung Pulo Ulu and Kampung Pulo HIlir residents who have been placed under enhanced movement control order (EMCO), food packs have been distributed to them.

Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Islamic Affairs and DBKU) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi handed over a total of 576 packs on Monday (Aug 23).

“Those under EMCO cannot go out to buy food and other necessities, so we hope that this aid will lessen some of their burden.”

Dr Abdul Rahman said this was the second time aid was given to the residents.

He was pleased to note that residents from both villages had complied with EMCO standard operating procedures (SOPs).

“I would also like to remind residents, especially in Pantai Damai constituency, to continue to adhere to the set SOPs.

“Do not be complacent even if you have completed both vaccine doses.”

Also present was Kampung Pulo Hilir village chief Norlida Helmi.
