PUTRAJAYA: The Ministry of National Unity (KPN) will be organising FoodUnites programme, on February 3 and 4 at the Kuching Waterfront, Sarawak.

This event, to be officiated by Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang, is dedicated to revitalising and preserving Malaysia’s heritage foods, with a focus to engage the younger generation.

“FoodUnites is more than just a food festival; it represents a cultural nexus that transcends time, offering a platform for the community to embrace our rich culinary legacy,” the Ministry said in a statement today (Jan 30).

The programme, with its core goals of promoting ethnic harmony, recognising food as a national treasure, and bringing Malaysians together through diverse culinary experiences, will showcase seven traditional dishes including the famed Sarawak Laksa.

In addition to the gastronomic offerings, the event features activities such as Zumba, traditional games, and lucky draws.

Open to the public with free admission, the festivities will run from 10 am to 10 pm.
