ISTANBUL: Erling Haaland produced a goal for Manchester City in its 3-0 win against West Ham United on Wednesday to set the record for the most goals in a single English Premier League season with 35.

Manchester City broke the deadlock when Nathan Ake scored a header in the 50th minute while Haaland produced another goal in the 70th minute for the Sky Blues at Etihad Stadium, reported Anadolu Agency.

With this goal, the Norwegian is now the player with the most goals scored in a single Premier League season, overtaking Andy Cole and Alan Shearer, who scored 34 goals each.

Phil Foden fired a long-range shot in the 85th minute to make the score 3-0 in Manchester.

Manchester City, who have one game in hand, are atop the table with 79 points in 33 matches, one point ahead of second-place Arsenal.
