KUCHING: Malaysian music veterans Exists will organise their first live concert this coming May 27 at Kuching South City Council (MBKS) indoor stadium in Sarawak after 25 years.

The concert, titled ‘Exists Resolusi’ will serve their fans some of their biggest hits including ‘Mengintai Tirai Dari Kamar’, ‘Nota Di Lautan Sepi’, and others.

Ajai, who is among the original members of the band said they are very excited to perform in Sarawak after such a long absence.

“Exists Resolusi in Sarawak has become a good benchmark not only for us, but also for the local musicians, especially after the industry was shut down for a while due to the pandemic.

“Of course Exists will deliver the best performance ever including songs that are surely missed by the fans,” he said.

He said this in a speech ahead of the press conference for the upcoming concert at Citadines Uplands in Kuching yesterday.

He added that for Exists themselves, the opportunity to perform with the original members which include him, Ujang, Musa, Along, Mamat who are the main vocalists and two new singers, Pasha and Eiz is a sign that their influence in the music industry is still here.

In the meantime, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts of Sarawak Datuk Snowdan Lawan, who was present, hopes that the bands like Exists can become an example for the talents in Sarawak to not only explore their talents but also to make a name outside of Sarawak, thus putting Sarawak on the world map.

Organised by ImagineX, tickets are on sale this coming Friday for RM95, RM195, RM295 and RM450 (meet and greet) at www.ticket2u.com.

Also present during the press conference were Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Office (Corporate Affairs, Information and Sarawak Public Communications Unit) Datuk Abdullah Saidol alongside other important guests.
