KUCHING: Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform) Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said has heaped praises on the Sarawak government for the various initiatives implemented to achieve success for the state and its people.

She made these remarks during the United Malay National Organisation (UMNO) Townhall Session Kota Raja Division, Klang recently, in which a clip of her praising the state government has circulated on social media.

“I am impressed with the Sabah and Sarawak governments, especially Sarawak because they are smart. They joined the Unity Government with the conditions that the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) is upheld so that they will have autonomy, which is their right as outlined in the MA63.

“I’m impressed by the wisdom of the state government and today, we look at how they’ve achieved many successes for the state and also for the rakyat,” she said.

Azalina added that the Sarawak government will also support the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and assured its commitment to the federal government.
