Federation of Seven Clan Association receives RM500k

SIBU: The Federation of Seven Clan Association received a grant totalling RM500,000 from the state government on Sunday night.

The grant was handed over by Bintulu MP Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing, who represented Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.

The association’s president Yap Hoi Liong received the grant on behalf of the association.

Methodist Iban Church Sibu Jaya also received a grant of RM400,000.

In his speech, Tiong stressed the important of unity between all races.

“The government treasures the unity among the people and hopefully the association can contribute to that.

“We are looking forward to everybody working together as a team,” he said.
