Fight for Sarawak’s rights to continue, Hanifah vows

MUKAH: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate for Mukah parliamentary seat Datuk Hanifah Taib vowed to continue fighting for Sarawak’s rights if she is given the mandate again in the 15th general election (GE15).

According to news report by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), focus will be given to efforts to claim oil rights for Sarawak and increase the state’s income through sales tax.

The caretaker Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs) also reminded the youth who are eligible to vote to fulfil their responsibilities.

She made this comment when speaking at the leaders with the people programme held at Dewan Kampung Sau here yesterday.

Meanwhile, Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi in his speech also called on the community in Mukah to support Hanifah in this GE-15.

“The young voters especially are told not to be careless and influenced by the propaganda of the opposition on social media,” he said.

He also hoped that the people in Mukah would be patient to wait for the allocation of the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) to be channelled in the area to implement the planned development.

He said, only in Sarawak that RTP are allocated to implement development projects in rural areas.
