SIBU: A rack used to store boxes and processing machines went up in flames at a factory at Jalan Ding Lik Kong on Thursday night.
The State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received a distress call pertaining to the 9.14pm incident and despatched firefighters from Sungai Merah and Sibu fire stations to the scene.
Upon arrival, it was discovered that the fire happened outside the factory and no structural damages were reported.
The teams proceeded to use offensive fire fighting methods and extinguished the fire in ten minutes.
No casualties were reported and the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
