Firemen’s charity run collects RM3,000

MIRI: Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Miri charity run dubbed Bomba Run 7.0 Miri 2023 managed to collect RM3,000 today.

The proceeds would go to Bekenu Community-Based Rehabilitation Centre (PDK).

Up to 1,202 local runners pounded the pavement of Marina Park early this morning.

The event was flagged off by Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts I (Tourism) Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew at around 5.30 am.

Also in attendance was Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department director Datuk Khirudin Drahman @ Hussaini.

This year’s run is divided into five categories -12km (Men’s Open); 12km (Women’s Open); 12km (Men’s Veteran); 12km (Women’s Veteran) and 4km Fun Run.

At the end of the programme, Ting and Khirudin presented the proceeds amounting to RM3,000 to PDK Bekenu.
