KUCHING: Pertama Ferroalloys Sdn Bhd plans to enhance staff benefits, particularly for its female employees, and is seeking the advice of the Ministry of Women, Early Childhood, and Community Wellbeing Development.

The firm conveyed its intention during a courtesy call on Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah for the ministry’s input and guidance.

Among the top management who called on Fatimah today were managing director Yuki Nakamura,  Human Resource, IT and Administrative Department manager Porida Sumin, and Public Affairs and CSR Department senior executive Augustine Lawang Mekai.

Meanwhile, Pertama Ferroalloys — Malaysia’s first large-scale manganese alloys and ferrosilicon plant — has been operating in the Samalaju Industrial Park in Bintulu since 2010.
