BETONG: The first compact electrical substation here has been operational since last Friday.
The Deputy Minister for Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneurial Development, Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu, assured that it would resolve the issue of electricity supply disruptions in the Kampung Melayu Betong area.
“I hope this facility will resolve the frequent electricity supply disruptions previously experienced in the area,” said the Layar assemblyman during a joint inspection with Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) officials at the Compact Substation 300 KVA in Kampung Melayu Betong today (April 6).
SEB project engineer Sam Wong Siong Zin was also present.
