Fishing tournament opens for registration

MIRI: Offering a grand prize of RM10,000, the Miri City Council (MCC)’s fishing tournament is now open for registration.

The contest is scheduled to be held on September 18, 2022 at the MGP Pool, Senadin.

It was part of event held in conjunction with the City’s 17th anniversary celebration, disclosed Deputy Miri Mayor Julaihi Mohamad on Tuesday during a press conference.

The tournament entry fee is RM70 for one fishing rod and a hook.

For rate payers who take part in the tournament, they are eligible to claim a rebate worth at RM20 as long as they pay the full arrears of their assessment rates at once.

The rebates can be claimed from 19 to 23 September from 8am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm at Level 7, Miri City Hall Building.

Entry forms of the fishing tournament can be obtained at Level 7 of Miri City Hall.
