KUCHING: At 6.29pm last Sunday, Sri Aman BOMBA received a distress call relating to a huge tree which has fallen at Pasar Tamu, Jalan Batang Lupar, Sri Aman.
Following the call, Sri Aman BOMBA immediately dispatched 10 firefighters in two vehicles led by PBK II Chimiam Duyu. When the firefighters arrived at the location they saw a huge tree has fallen on five stalls and a motorcycle at the Pasar Tamu. Fortunately, at the time of incident the stall operators were not around.
After the firefighters had cleared the tree trunk and branches they then proceeded to a location six kilometres away where a tree has fallen on TM cables.
The incident happened during a rainstorm in the area. In both incidents no one was hurt. Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel also assisted in the two incidents.
