A 17-year-old teenager is among the 77 individuals arrested at a premises in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur.

The operation involved the apprehension of 38 local males, 28 local females, and 11 foreign nationals.

Brickfields police chief ACP Amihizam Abdul Shukor said investigations revealed the online fraud syndicate was using deceptive websites to deceive victims, including foreign investors.

The raid resulted in the seizure of 35 computers, 20 mobile phones, seven passports, 38 work permits, as well as one laptop, tablet, router, and modem each.

All suspects have been remanded for two days to assist in investigations under Section 420/120 of the Penal Code.
