Former FAS sec-gen claims trial to CBT

KUCHING: A former secretary-general of the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) claimed trial at the Magistrate’s Court to three counts of criminal breach of trust (CBT) amounting to RM191,298.70.

Razali Dolhan (pic), 49, was charged with siphoning the association’s fund amounting to RM139,920, RM21,378 and RM30,000, while serving as the secretary-general, on
Jan 8, Feb 4 and Feb 13, 2017 respectively.

Razali pleaded not guilty when the three charges were read before Magistrate Dayang Ellyn Narisa Abang Ahmad, here, yesterday.

He was charged under Section 408 of the Penal Code, which carries an imprisonment of between one year and 14 years, and liable to whipping and fine upon conviction. The magistrate set bail at RM8,000 with two local sureties and fixed Aug 14 for pre-trial case management.

The accused was also ordered to report to the nearest police station once every fortnight.

DPP Ruthra Raj prosecuted while the accused is represented by Counsel Dominique Ng.

Razali is also a member of the board of directors of the Malaysian Football League and sits on the committee of the Football Association of Malaysia.
