BINTULU: Four primary schools here yesterday received RM5,000 donations each from Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (BPHB) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

The beneficiary schools included Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Majlis Agama Islam Sarawak (MIS) Bintulu, SK Kidurong 1, SK Kampung Jepak, and SK Kampung Baru.

The donations were presented by Biport Bulkers Sdn Bhd chief operating officer Wan Mohamad Zaidi Wan Kadir, on behalf of BPHB Group CEO Ruslan Abdul Ghani.

“These donations are sourced from the participation fees of the 51 teams in the Bintulu Port 2023 Futsal Tournament’s 11th Edition, held from December 1 to 3,” Ruslan said when officiating at the Bintulu Port 2023 11th Edition Futsal Championship, here, yesterday.

He said that the chosen schools are recognised for their active involvement in sports at both state and national levels.

The Bintulu Port 2023 Futsal Tournament featured 38 men’s and 13 women’s teams, competing at the Kidurong Bintulu Club futsal court. The men’s category winner will receive RM10,000, a trophy, and a medal, while the women’s category winner will be awarded RM5,000, along with similar accolades.
