SIBU: More than 700 people took part in the Best Friend Forever (BFF) Neon Fun Run 2017 at Sibu Town Square here, last Saturday night.
The event supported by Sibu Resident Office and Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) was organised by Sibu Underground Runner Club and sponsored by Summer Pacific Sdn Bhd, Moma Water, Sibu Oxygen Sdn Bhd, Doraemon Superstore, Nasi Ayam Ori Kampung Baru Enterprise, Kelapa Bagus Enterprise and Fit Malaysia.
BFF Neon Fun Run 2017 was one of the activities held in conjunction with Visit Sibu Year 2017. The run attracted participants from Miri, Sarikei, Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia. Mohd Zuldidy emerged champion in the 10KM Men’s Open Category, while Claudius Empam and Eric Ting won second and third places, respectively.
The champion of the 10Km Women’s Open Category was Tho Siaw Khim while in second and third places were Lee Leh Ha and Hii Yieng Nyuk, respectively.
For the 5km Men’s Category, Mohd Basit Mohd Ghadafi won first place while Muliady Abdul Wa was second and in third place was Nigel Ling Ting Shin.
Wong Jing Jie emerged champion in the 5km Women’s Category while Emilia Gelau was in second place. Third place was won by Teresa Wong Sui Kiew.
For the 5km Boy’s (under 13 years old) Category, Tiong Yong Xiang won first place while Ivan Kii Zu You was second and Tiong Yong Li, third.
Irene Kii Yu won first place in the 5KM Girl’s (under 13 years old) Category while the second and third spots were won by Lau Kok Ying and Tiong Wen Yu, respectively.
