KUCHING: Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Sarikei branch is fully prepared for the upcoming 15th general election (GE15) to wrest Sarikei parliamentary seat from the opposition.

Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii said all the party members will work together to win the election regardless of who is nominated.

“It doesn’t matter who the SUPP candidate is to represent GPS contesting for the Sarikei parliamentary seat, they must strive to fight for allocations for Sarikei and Bintangor in order to upgrade local development,” he said.

He said this during a Sarikei SUPP Branch meeting with the community leaders here on Oct 30.

Huang, who is also the SUPP Sarikei branch chairman and election committee said they would go all out to ensure the party’s candidate will be able to represent the people of Sarawak in Parliament after the GE15.

“We want to fight for more funds for the welfare and benefits of all Sarawakians,” he added.
