LUNDU: Gedong District will be assigned a new postcode to improve correspondence and the delivery of goods.
District Officer Tamida Da’adi said that his office was officially informed by Pos Malaysia about the approval of the new postcode for the district on Feb 13.
This change is expected to streamline postal services and facilitate better communication within it.
He also said that an official letter detailing the change would be distributed to the villages soon.
Tamida said this when officiating at the Closing Ceremony of the Gedong District Strengthening Workshop for Community Leaders and Tribal Leaders (KMKK) here today(Feb 26).
He hoped for the continuation of such programmes, which aim to enhance the leadership and management skills of local leaders by involving more relevant agencies in information dissemination.
