GPS can win big in Baram

MIRI: The Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) will be able to win big in Baram in the upcoming 15th general election (GE15), as long as the party’s election machinery sustains its momentum, said Deputy Minister for Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development I (Youth and Sport Development) Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu.

“In the 12th Sarawak election (December 2021), GPS coalition secured a two-thirds majority to once again form the government,” he said at the opening of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Telang Usan triennial general meeting (TGM) in Miri on Saturday.

“Give your undivided support towards Baram MP Anyie Ngau in this coning GE15,” he added.

Rentap pointed out, this clearly showed that the people of Sarawak wanted political stability and continuous development.

Thus, he reminded the party’s election machinery to use similar approach during the last 12th Sarawak election to ensure victory in this coming election (GE15).

Rentap, who is also PBB Youth chief cum Layar assemblyman also reminded the party’s election machinery to be ready.

“Be ready to ensure that GPS and its component parties win in all competed seats,…avoid split within the party as we must stay united because GPS is an inclusive party for all Sarawakians,” he said.

GPS comprises PBB, the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP), Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) and the Progressive Democratic Party (PDP).

Also present during the Telang Usan TGM were its chairman Dennis Ngau, political secretary to Sarawak Premier, Charles Balan Seling and delegates from nine PBB Telang Usan sub branches – Apoh, Long Lama Hilir, Long Lama Hulu, San Hilir, San Hulu, Pana, Akah-Patah Hilir, Akah-Patah Hulu and Long Miri.
