BINTANGOR: Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing has witnessed the handover of a Rural Transformation Project (RTP) site at SJK (C) Ming Chiang to the contractor.

The project falls under the supervision of the Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID) Sarikei Division. Its purpose is to address frequent floods at the school at a cost of RM100,000.

Ding Kuong Hiing commended implementing agencies such as DID Sarikei Division for consistently monitoring the contractor’s work and expressed satisfaction with the land site rehabilitation work at SJKC Ming Chiang.

“It is not only necessary to ensure that all specifications are adhered to, but the project must also be completed according to the established schedule,” he was quoted as saying in a Ukas report.

He emphasized that the timely completion of RTP projects is crucial because they are intended for the benefit of the people, as initiated by the Sarawak government.

Ding Kuong Hiing stated that the implementation of RTP projects demonstrates the state government’s commitment to accelerating the development process in rural areas. This highlights the Sarawak government’s concern for the issues faced by schools.
