BINTULU : Bintulu Port Authority recently held a Hari Raya Aidiliftri and Pre Gawai Open House to enable its staff and management of various races and religions to share the joys and excitement of the festivals with the public.
“It is also held to entertain those that have an interest in the history of the development of Bintulu Port,” Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Hasbi Habibollah said when speaking at the function at Menara Kidurong here on Wednesday (May 10).
He hoped that the close cooperation could continue to enable Bintulu Port to progress in the future.
At the event, Hasbi also made a symbolic handover of RM15,000 to PERYATIM Bintulu, represented by its manager, Ustaz Mohd Nor Ali. The donation was in conjunction with the 42nd anniversary of the establishment of Bintulu Port.
The event was witnessed by Bintulu Port Authority’s general manager, Mizool Amir Mat Drus and Deputy Secretary (Policy) in the Ministry of Transport and Bintulu Port Authority board member, Datuk Norma Osman.
The Limbang MP also announced a donation of RM10,000 to the Bintulu PERYATIM. He hoped the donation could cheer up the children from the orphanage, especially during the festive season.
