KUCHING: An ambulance which was carrying a patient to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) was involved in a collision with a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) at Rock Road here this morning (May 7).

The collision reportedly happened around 8.30am when both vehicles were travelling in opposite directions.

The MPV had apparently gone out of control and entered the opposite lane before crashing into the ambulance.

The impact of the crash resulted in one of the nurses inside the ambulance to sustain injuries. However, other medical staffs and the patient onboard the ambulances as well as the MPV driver were unharmed in the incident.

Firemen from the Batu Lintang station who were deployed to the scene provided early treatment to the injured nurse before bringing her and the patient to hospital.
