KUCHING: H&L management staff organised charity events for children from Peryatim, or Sarawak Orphans Welfare Association, on 1 April and 8 April at the H&L outlet at Matang Mall.
“We are happy to have held such great and meaningful charity events with Peryatim in collaboration with our merchant from the Rapid Eyewear.
“The management staff came out with various fun activities for the children during the two days. It was one of the ways of giving back to the society from H&L,” Rita, H & L Corporate Marketing Manager explained.
“For all of us at H&L, charity and giving back to the society have always been part of the company culture. As the company continues to grow in business, we always remind ourselves of the importance of doing charity and contributing back to the society.
“A few ringgits and daily necessities donated, when collected together, can become big contributions that help the needy. If everyone just do their own part, the needy will feel that they have someone who love and care for them. If all of us work together, we can build a better future for society. Therefore, it is the hope of H & L that the public will continue to support it in its charity events. Let us show the needy that we care!”
On 1 April, the children from Peryatim had hands on experience decorating the H&L’s daily freshly made chocolate rice buns.
Besides having their eyes checked by H&L merchant from the Rapid Eyewear, they also had educational tour of the H&L outlet at Matang Mall.
On 2 April, the Peryatim children were overjoyed to collect their 30 pairs of custom-made spectacles sponsored by H & L Retail Management at Rapid Eyewear, Matang Mall.
