KUCHING: Hope Place has reached new heights this year as more and more projects and cases are coming in. Thanks to the support of the media, the public and the government, Hope Place is able to reach out to more under privileged people around Kuching.

In 2017 Hope Place received 139 calls from the public, requesting for help. Hope Place now has more than 200 needy families under its care. Each month it needs more than RM 27K food items included OKU special need items like special milk & sanitary napkins. As an example, for each OKU (disable person) case Hope Place needs to look for more than RM 1,000 worth of milk and one month supply of sanitary napkins per month.

Hope Place currently takes care of more than 60 disable persons who need special milk & napkins and is always facing insufficient supply to give. Hope Place announced that starting from 1st February 2018, it will not take in any new case for a period of 4 months, until 31 May 2018. The main reason is Hope Place currently has limited supplies and that the “economy is very slow”.
