SRI AMAN: Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) per sonnel her e destroyed a hornet’s nest at Cempaka Putih Flat in Temudok near here last Wednesday night.
Sri Aman APM Officer, Captain (PA) Siti Huzaimah Ibrahim said they received a call on the hornet’s nest around 9.36pm.
The complainant from the area known only as Kent had called APM emergency line for help after noticing the hornet’s nest.
“Three officers namely Lans Coperal (PA) Jacky Enus, PBT (PA) Syaidatul Nadia, and PBT (PA) Muhd Zulkarnie were dispatched to the scene.
“They managed to destroy the hornet’s nest by setting fire to it and spraying insecticide and the operation ended at 10.13pm,” said Siti. She also urged member of the public to immedietly call Sri Aman APM at tel: 083-320973 should they stumble upon any dangerous insect or animal in their area.
“The public may also call us for emergency cases such as natural disasters,” she said.
