SARIKEI: Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii donated school supplies to pupils in the Meradong area.
The supplies comprised school uniforms, shoes, and bags. It was aimed to alleviate the burden of parents before the start of the school session.
The assistance was distributed to the schools starting Tuesday (Feb 6) by Huang’s representative, Gung Chiu Kion.
Among the schools involved on Tuesday are SK Abang Amin, SJKC Kai Chung, SK Bandar Bintangor, SK St Augustine, SJKC Ming Tee, SK Gemuan, SJKC Ming Lu, SJKC Ming Ching, IPG Prasekolah, SK Nanga Stras, SK Sg Mador, SK Ulu Binatang, SK Ulu Stras, SK Sg Kawi, SJKC Tung Kwong, and SK Kai Sing.
Also present was Kapitan Kiu Chiong Chui, Sarikei service centre officers Sia Huong Chuong, and Wong Soon Mee.
