SARIKEI: Many changes were implemented by the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government in bringing more projects and developments in Sarikei Division.

Maradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing said the communities here can judge for themselves the excellent track record of GPS Sarikei candidate Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii during his two terms as Repok assemblyman since 2016, which is enough to give a clear impression that Huang is an individual who can ensure the welfare and well-being of the people are taken care of.

“For that, fulfil your obligations on voting day. Make wise choices to ensure that development can continue to be achieved in Sarikei after this,” he said while speaking at Huang’s campaign rally in Sarikei town last night (Nov 14).

Ding also reminded the community to remember what had happened during the administration of Pakatan Harapan (PH), which highlighted many problems and weaknesses of the PH federal government.

“Therefore, avoid the same calamity from happening again to ensure that the people can enjoy and benefit from the development brought by the GPS government,” he added.

Huang, during his rally speech, has called on the people to give him a chance to serve Sarikei for the next five years, if he is elected as an MP.

“Give me five years to serve you. If I do not perform well in these five years for you, I am willing to step down,” he said.

He also reminded the people that nothing good will come for Sarikei if the opposition continues to win in this general election.
